Wannabe

I made a conscious effort about four months ago to try and blog more. I tried blogging in the past, but didn’t do a good job of sticking to it. Part of my problem was that I didn’t know what to blog about. I tried a little bit of everything, but couldn’t stick to one subject whether it was sports, politics, celebrity gossip, etc...  I also didn’t know if I wanted to write blogs or do more vlogging. Indecision led to nothing. I respect people who blog every day. You have to take the time and come up with something to blog about.

I finally decided that I should stick with sports. I like sports and I’m some what knowledgable. I won’t just blog about sports though. I’ll throw in some other stuff from time to time and I will also occasionally post vlogs (I know how much everyone loves my crappy videos), but mostly stick to writing. Of course, I’m not a writer and I’m a scatterbrain so it could get interesting.

Over the next few blogs I want to pay respect to some blogs I read by mimicking their style best that I can for one entry. I don’t want to be disrespectful to them and hopefully they’ll remember that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. The first one will pay homage to Cassie Dzienny (@ihavetude). She decided at the beginning of the year to post a blog entry everyday and has kept up. Cassie is a model and dancer and her blogs make reference to her day to day activities and the outfits she wears. Sometimes her sister Gracie will make a guest appearance either in the blog or writing one. One thing she does is that at the end of each blog, she lists what she is wearing in some of the pictures she posted. She’ll also post some pictures of what might have inspired that particular look for her. I am nowhere near as photogenic or attractive as Cassie and we all know that I have zero style, but here we go.

Since I am a sports fan and most of my blogs are about sports, I thought I’d stick with that. We’re about a third of the way through the baseball season and my Cincinnati Reds are in first place. I listen to their games at work when I get a chance and of course have a jersey. Yes, of course I wear sports jerseys because I think I’m going to get a call from the coach to play, but me wearing a baseball jersey to work is not nearly as bad as the people who wear their tennis outfits to watch tennis matches. I forgot to bring a bat in and I couldn’t find (didn’t look for) a baseball field to take pictures at, so you get me at work. When you're done reading (and laughing), go back and click on Cassie's blog and take a look.
