Big Brother S14 Winner Ian Terry

Congrats to Ian Terry for winning Season 14 of Big Brother. He played one hell of a game and certainly deserved to be in the final two, but as many people know, the best player doesn’t always win. This season is a perfect example of that. Dan Gheesling and Ian were the right people to be in the final, but you can not tell me that Ian played a better game than Dan. Ian won on a vote of 6-1 with the sole vote for Dan coming from Danielle. I predicted that if Ian won the final HoH and took Dan, he would win. I thought the final vote would be 4-3 or 5-2 though.

I think the jury’s vote was already made up, but Dan’s answering of questions and his final plea did not help his cause. He actually seemed nervous to me. The reason I think the jury already made up their mind is because they were so bitter. Frank, who ironically was voted America’s Player, is the most bitter player in reality television history. I hate to be the one to tell you this Frank, but you are not the only who gave up a bunch to be in that house. Hell, you claim you were unemployed, so you certainly did not give up your job like some others. You claim to be a super fan. If you are, you are the most unknowledgable and naive super fan ever. You’re in a house with Dan, arguably the best player to ever play the game, the guy who tried to get you out at every turn of the game, the man who stabbed you in the back too many times to count, and you can’t figure out that he was lying to you and you don’t evict him? You deserved to be voted out. If you want to be mad or bitter at someone, start by looking in the mirror and then talk to your buddy Boogie. He’s the one who convinced you not to get Dan out.

Shane, do you even know what game you were playing? You’re mad at Dan for getting you out of the house, but let’s take a look at this. Maybe you should be mad at your girlfriend for basically putting you on the block. Neither one of you knew if you could trust Dan 100%, but you let her put you up, she did it and Dan voted you out. Why did Dan vote you out? That’s simple and he even told you. He knew he couldn’t beat you and that if you had the chance, you would have taken Danielle to the final two over him. Nothing wrong with that, but can you see why he did it? You’re bitter because he got you out before you could get him out.

I’m not sure why Jenn and Joe voted for Ian. Jenn surprised me more. I thought she appreciated Dan’s game and took issue with Ian’s, but who knows what happened in the Jury House. Did Britney or Frank possible campaign against Dan and get others to switch their vote? If that’s the case, then they did what they were so mad at Dan about by manipulating people. Can anyone say hypocrite?

Some will say Dan played this season of Big Brother like Russell Hantz played Survivor. He played to get to the final, but not to win. Ian pointed out how many competitions he won and how few Dan won. What’s that got to do with anything? Tell me something Ian, you’re such a student of the game. Who is considered the best to ever play Big Brother and how many competitions did that person win? I’ll give you a hint. He’s a doctor and he’s won the exact number of competitions in Big Brother that I have.

What really bothered me about Ian’s recollection of his time in the house was that he did everything on his own. Seriously? Everything on his own? I’m sorry, that is the most ridiculous statement ever. Let’s start with the fact that you were in an alliance. You had other win competitions to help protect you. You had others making strategic decisions to advance themselves and you in the game. Once again, you played a great game. I do not want to take that away from you, but you were a very angry young man in the house and I would have hated to see your reaction if you had not won or even worse, had Dan not taken you to the final.

Lastly, the whole question session by the jury seemed way too scripted for me. It did not seem natural and that the jury was asking questions that they didn’t really want to ask. I don’t like that Danielle didn’t get time to interact with the jury before the voting.
